♥ - How Long Should I Remember? - ♥

How long should I remember
Things hurtful and unkind,
The words in anger spoken
That rankles in the mind?

How long should such thoughts linger
And bitterness hold sway?
Not beyond.......

How long should I remember
The words that healed the pain,
The smiles that brought the sunshine
Into my Life again.

♥ - A Woman Knows .... - ♥

A woman dreams ... with her heart, dreams of passion,

beauty and peace on earth.

A woman cries ... tears when she's wounded...replaced with
smiles when she knows she will heal soon.

A woman loves ... with her soul, deep and true ... with all that
she knows.....

A woman tries ... through every wrong, ... forgives past sins
and finds the strength to move on.

A woman gives ... everything inside her ... she does not hold
back because of the fears that remind her ... she could be hurt,
be taken in, ... a woman protects herself with the love that lies
within.....

Only a woman knows the secret truths that hide beneath the
surface of her warmth and kindness.

Only a woman knows the tender touch that can heal all
wrongs and relieve all fears.

Only a woman can give her all and have love left to give when
the giving is done.

Only a woman ... with a woman's heart ... can understand and
accept ... the many pains she will encounter.

Only a woman ... with a woman's heart ... can possibly know
the strength of her heart.....

A woman knows ... if all she owns was taken ... there are
parts of her, the best of her ... that nothing on earth can ever
take away ... the woman's heart, the woman's depths.

Only a woman knows ... it's the love within that makes her who
she is, and love without pain could be a love that is dead.

♥ - TODAY IS A GIFT - ♥

Life is not always what one wants it to be,
but to make the best of it, as it is, is the only
way of being happy.

Did any one of us expect to be doing, today, what we each are doing?
I like many thought about having children, a particular kind of home,
a certain career, but I don't think none of us we really anticipate all that
life has wrought? Divorce maybe, money struggles was certainly not
something I wanted in the big picture, but it happens.
Have a bit of closure knowing life is measured out according to our needs.
The choice to be happy with what is, is ours to make, every moment.
Make it happen.

Today's experiences, feelings and faith will move you
a step closer to lasting happiness.

~Quoted by Barbara Grizzuti Harrison~
To have a crisis and act upon it is one thing.
To dwell in perpetual crisis is another.
The mixture of the calm with the storm is not haphazard.
Quite the contrary. Your growth is at the center of each.
Trust its message

Always be aware of the people around you. Acknowledge
them if it is right and you feel comfortable. Be thankful
for all they could and are offering you.

Life indeed presents us with an assortment of blessings; some bring us
immediate joy; some invite tears; others foster fear. What we need help in
understanding is that all experiences are meant for our good, all bless us in
some manner. If we are able to see the big picture, we'd greet all situations,
large and small, with a thankful heart.

Each morning, when we all awake,
is blessing number one.

To be human is to have doubts and fears. But as faith grows,
our doubts and fears lessen. The good days will increase in number.

Look forward with hope, never backward.
Make that your best effort every day.

Self pity may beckon today. But remember, fortunately, you have
learned you do have other choices.

Be alert to the opportunities to share yourself
and cherish the freedom that is offered.

♥ - Philosophy of Life - ♥

A boat docked in a tiny Mexican fishing village.
A tourist complimented the local fishermen on the quality of their fish and asked how long it took them to catch it.
"Not very long." they answered in unison.

"Why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?"
The fishermen explained that their small catches were sufficient to meet their needs and those of their families.
"But what do you do with the rest of your time?"
"We sleep late, fish a little, play with our children, and take siestas with our wives.
In the evenings, we go into the village to see our friends, have a few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs.
We have a full life."
The tourist interrupted,
"I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you!
You should start by fishing longer every day.
You can then sell the extra fish you catch.
With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat."
"And after that?"
"With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers.
Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can then negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant.
You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los Angeles, or even New York City!
From there you can direct your huge new enterprise."
"How long would that take?"
"Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years." replied the tourist.
"And after that?"
"Afterwards? Well my friend, that's when it gets really interesting, " answered the tourist, laughing. "When your business gets really big, you can start buying and selling stocks and make millions!"
"Millions? Really? And after that?" asked the fishermen.
"After that you'll be able to retire,
live in a tiny village near the coast,
Sleep late, play with your children,
Catch a few fish, take a siesta with your wife
And spend your evenings drinking and enjoying your friends."
"With all due respect sir, but that's exactly what we are doing now. So what's the point wasting twenty-five years?" asked the Mexicans.
And the moral of this story is:
Know where you're going in life....you may already be there!

♥ - Anything is Possible - ♥

If there was ever a time to dare,
to make a difference,
to embark on something worth doing,
IT IS NOW.
Not for any grand cause, necessarily…
but for something that tugs at your heart,
something that’s your inspiration,
something that’s your dream.
You owe it to yourself
to make your days here count.
HAVE FUN.
DIG DEEP.
STRETCH.
DREAM BIG.
Know, though, that things worth doing seldom come easy.
There will be good days.
And there will be bad days.
There will be times when you want to turn around,
pack it up, and call it quits.
Those times tell you
that you are pushing yourself, that you are not afraid
to learn by trying.
PERSIST.Because with an idea,
determination, and the right tools,
you can do great things.
Let your instincts, your intellect,
and your heart, guide you.
TRUST.
Believe in the incredible power of the human mind.
Of doing something that makes a difference.
Of working hard.
Of laughing and hoping.
Of lazy afternoons.
Of lasting friends.
Of all the things that will cross your path this year.
The start of something new brings the hope of something great,
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
